Why We Started
Stavanger is one of the most extraordinary places in Norway. The fjords are right on the doorstep, the hiking is world-class, and the city itself has a character and history that most visitors barely scratch the surface of. We started Fjordland Tours because we wanted to change that.
We have spent years exploring this region — every trail, every viewpoint, every hidden corner of the Lysefjord. And we noticed that most people visiting Stavanger were either rushing through on a cruise ship with a few hours to spare, or following the same well-worn tourist path without really experiencing what makes this place special.
Fjordland Tours was built to do something different. Small groups. Expert local guides. Carefully designed tours that balance the iconic highlights with the moments most visitors miss. And a genuine belief that the best way to experience Norway is with someone who truly loves it.
Our Story “We grew up surrounded by the wild beauty of Norwegian fjords, where hiking wasn’t something special — it was simply part of life. From an early age, we explored trails above the clouds and stood on places like Preikestolen, taking in views that never get old. But our connection goes beyond the mountains — We’ve also spent years walking the streets of Stavanger and Bergen, discovering their history, culture, and everyday life. That’s why my tours are not just about hiking, but about experiencing the full story of Norway — from vibrant city streets to breathtaking fjords — shared through the eyes of someone who truly grew up here

We operate from Stavanger, the gateway to some of Norway's most dramatic landscapes. Preikestolen, Kjeragbolten, and the Lysefjord are right on our doorstep. Bergen, Hardanger, and Trolltunga are a scenic drive away. This is our home, and we know it well.
