Category 1 — Booking and Payment
You can book any tour directly on our website. Choose your tour, select a date, and complete the checkout in a few minutes. You will receive an instant confirmation by email with all the details you need.
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for hiking tours in summer (June to August) which fill up quickly. Day tours can often be booked a weeks in advance, but we cannot guarantee availability.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). Payment is processed securely through our checkout. We do not accept cash on the day.
For single-day tours and short multi-day tours, full payment is required at the time of booking. For the 5-day Stavanger to Bergen tour, a 30% deposit is required at booking with the balance due before departure.
Yes, all prices are in Norwegian Kroner (NOK) and are inclusive of 12% MVA. There are no hidden fees — the price you see is the price you pay.
Category 2 — Cancellations and Changes
For single-day tours, you can cancel for a full refund up to 48 hours before the tour start time. Cancellations between 48 and 24 hours receive a 50% refund. Less than 24 hours before the tour, no refund is available. For multi-day tours, different terms apply — please see our full Refund Policy for details.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your date. We will do our best to accommodate you, subject to availability. Date changes within 48 hours of departure are treated as cancellations.
Our tours operate in most Norwegian weather conditions — a bit of rain is part of the adventure. If conditions are genuinely unsafe, we will contact you and offer an alternative date, a credit, or a full refund. We never put guests in danger.
Category 3 — The Tours
We are a small group operator. Most tours have a maximum of 8–10 participants. This is intentional — smaller groups mean a better experience for everyone and more personal attention from the guide.
All tours are conducted in English.
Minimum age requirements vary by tour. The Stavanger City Walking Tour has no age minimum and is family-friendly. Hiking tours have a minimum age of 12, and the Trolltunga 2 Day tour has a minimum age of 18. Ages are checked during checkout.
Most tours start from a central meeting point in Stavanger city centre. You will receive the exact meeting point details in your booking confirmation email.
Transport from Stavanger to the trailhead is included in all hiking and multi-day tours. The city walking tour takes place entirely on foot in the city centre.
Category 4 — Hiking Tours
This depends on the tour. The Preikestolen hike is moderate and suitable for most people with a reasonable fitness level. Kjeragbolten is harder and requires a good level of fitness and experience with steep terrain. Trolltunga is the most demanding and requires excellent fitness. Each tour page describes the fitness requirement clearly. If in doubt, contact us before booking.
Yes. Proper hiking shoes or boots with ankle support are mandatory for all hiking tours. Trainers, sandals, or fashion shoes are not acceptable and your guide has the right to refuse participation if you arrive without appropriate footwear.
Waterproof jacket, warm layers, hiking shoes, sufficient food and water for the full day, a small backpack, and your phone. A full packing list is included on each tour page and in your confirmation email.
We do not provide hiking gear rental, but Preikestolen Basecamp at the Preikestolen trailhead offers gear rental if needed.
Category 5 — Custom Tours
Fill in the short inquiry form on our Custom Tours page. Tell us who is coming, when, where you want to go, and what kind of experience you are after. We will reply within 48 hours with ideas and a proposal. No payment or commitment required at this stage.
Custom tour pricing depends entirely on what you want. Duration, group size, guide requirements, accommodation, and activities all affect the price. We will give you a clear, itemised quote before you commit to anything.
